DIRECTOR'S FOREWORD

Director of Centre of  Entrepreneurial Development & Graduate Marketability (CEM) Foreword

 Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Alhamdulillah, all praise to Allah, for the greatness and mercy that we are able to develop the website of Centre of  Entrepreneurial Development & Graduate Marketability (CEM).The goal of making this website is that it will serve as a communication channel and provide the latest information.

Thanks to all for supporting UPM Entrepreneurial Development Centre and Graduate Marketability (CEM) on enhancing the employability of university graduates and also building future entrepreneurs from our students. I am also pleased and welcome all to our official website in hoping it is easy for all of you to know the functions and services offered by our center. Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Graduate Employability (CEM) was formerly known as Career Placement Center (CPC).

Establishment of Centre of Entrepreneurial Development and Graduate Marketability (CEM) is strengthening efforts and ongoing challenges in the ministry to give national recognition to the field of entrepreneurship as MOHE Awards Entrepreneurship Award beginning this year. Recognition of the entrepreneurship programs at UPM are based on education and activities that are organized and effective. This mechanism can be seen through the support of the university for setting up kiosks, putraniaga and courses given to students to cultivate entrepreneurship.

UPM must take proactive steps to strengthen the entrepreneurial culture through entrepreneurial activities by providing a conducive environment and ecosystem. Student involvement in entrepreneurial activities are expected to provide added value to the students to equip themselves in the job market after graduation later. In fact, apart from the importance of the robustness of an entrepreneurial culture to drive growth of the Malaysian economy in general, participation and widespread exposure among students in particular are more important because it will have an impact on socio-economic stability and balance.

Final word from me, we hope that you have benefited from this site, and we welcome all views, opinions and criticisms from you to ensure we can provide the best service at the university.

Thank you.
