TOP AGRO @ UPM EMERGES CHAMPION OF BUSINESS PITCHING AND BEST RERUAI

Bachok Kelantan, 14 Ogos - Top Agro @UPM emerged as the champion in the Business Pitching Competition and won the Best Reruai ( Booth) Award in conjunction with the Structured Entrepreneurial Incubator Programme (SEIP) organised by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK).

The victory enabled UPM to bring home RM3,000, RM500 in cash and a certificate of appreciation presented by Datin Noorazah Binti Omar, Secretary of the Bahagitn International Relations Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) at the Tuanku Chancellor Hall of UMK Bachok Kelantan.

The Industrial Agrowers Company represented by Ahmad Shukry Yahya, a student of the Faculty of Agriculture managed to impress the jury with the idea of innovation brought through the Rock Melon Fruit Cultivation Project Fertigation with the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mass Hareeza Ali, Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Graduate Employability (CEM) UPM.

"I didn't expect to emerge as a champion for this 'Business Pitching' competition because the competition is so fierce from other Universities that bring innovation products to represent their incubators. I have also received an offer from the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) to carry out a joint venture in the Rock Melon Cultivation Project using more up-to-date and widespread technology in the future" said Ahmad Syukri after being crowned champion just now.
"I would like to thank CEM UPM for trusting the Industrial Agrowers Company in implementing the Rock Melon Fruit Cultivation Project," he added.

Structured Entrepreneurial Incubator Program (SEIP) is an initiative of the National Distress Program under the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) in commercializing products based on innovation and technology, creating jobs, and improving the country's economy.

A total of 10 incubators from 5  Lay Universities and 2 Polytechnics have succeeded in producing 42 products in the digital technology, science technology, agro-industry, social and creative industries clusters.
