SERI KEMBANGAN, 15 July – The 'Let's Buy Lokal' Programme in conjunction with Expo Bluedome Bazaar was held at Sapura Bluedome Mines from 15 July 2022 to 17 July 2022.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mass Hareeza Ali, Director of CEM, the programme is seen to support and provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs to be active again in the business world after almost two years of the Covid-19 era.

UPM was participated by 6 entries comprising students, staff and lecturers selling food and beverage products, agriculture, cosmetics, education and souvenirs.  A total of50 UPM  student  entrepreneurs also attended  the Expo Bluedome Bazaar to interact, obtain information, gain ideas and establish relationships with hundreds of local traders who took part.

"This programme is also seen as opening up opportunities for students to venture into entrepreneurship and as one of the initiatives to provide exposure and foster interest in the world of entrepreneurship. In addition, it also provides p elantar to start its own business, thus producing new entrepreneurs," he said.

"We are pleased with the cooperation from UPM in S apura's efforts to  develop a generation of local  young entrepreneurs. These efforts include providing them with business facilities in this programme", said Puan Siti Suhaini, Coordinator  of  'Jom Beli Lokal' Sapura Resources Berhad (SRB).

The 'Let's Buy Lokal' programme in conjunction with the Bluedome Bazaar Expo was held to support efforts to foster an entrepreneurial culture among students and to open up business opportunities to micro traders. It was organised by Sapura Resources Berhad (SRB) in collaboration with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development & Graduate Employability (CEM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
