SERDANG, June 29 - More than 1,400 job opportunities in various fields were offered in conjunction with the UPM Career & Entrepreneurship Carnival x SOCSO: MYCAREER @MOHE 2022 which was held on 29 June 2022 at the Sultan Abdul Samad Centre (PSAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The program was organised by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development & Graduate Employability (CEM), UPM in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and strategic partners of the Social Security Organization (SOCSO).

The annual post Covid-19 programme is now held for the first time physically to improve the help of UPM graduates get jobs, as well as to help local community members participate in the hunt for jobs.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mass Hareeza Ali, Director of CEM said the carnival can be a platform for graduates to get job opportunities according to their respective fields.

"This is a great opportunity to explore the job opportunities provided face-to-face and interact with the employers present.
"After the country entered the endemic phase, this is the first time that the program has been physically implemented with the presence of 16 employers offering over 1,400 job opportunities in this career carnival. Among the sectors involved are engineering, finance, services, retail and logistics," he said.
Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International) UPM said the carnival was in line with the university's mission to achieve the target of 85 percent of graduates getting jobs, as outlined by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) this year.
The one-day carnival also provided various activities to visitors including MYFUTUREJOBS sharing, open interviews, agency exhibitions and food truck 1.0, CEM.
UPM x SOCSO Career & Entrepreneurship Carnival: MYCAREER @ MOHE 2022 is a comprehensive career program in an effort to open up a space for discussion and sharing of career-related information from employers and external agencies to prospective graduates of UPM and other Institutions of Higher Learning.
