Serdang, 10 March – The Centre for Entrepreneurial Development and Graduate Marketability (CEM) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) held a roadshow session today at the Faculty of Engineering, UPM, aimed at introducing CEM’s functions and roles, as well as the opportunities offered to students at the faculty.

The CEM delegation, led by Associate Professor Dr. Hizmawati Madzin, Director of CEM, was welcomed by Professor Ir. Dr. Mohd Zainal Abidin Ab. Kadir, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. The programme was held as part of CEM’s efforts to raise awareness among students and academic staff about the entrepreneurial and career development opportunities provided by the centre.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Hizmawati Madzin, CEM plays a key role in empowering UPM students by providing a holistic platform for entrepreneurship and career development.

“We aim to ensure that students are not only prepared to enter the job market, but are also equipped with the skills to become successful entrepreneurs and leaders.

We believe that students of the Faculty of Engineering possess great potential in this field, and they can fully benefit from the opportunities offered by CEM,” she added.

During the interactive session, CEM representatives provided in-depth explanations on the various roles played by the centre in supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, and students’ career pathways.

The CEM Roadshow is conducted at selected Responsibility Centres (PTJ) across UPM to highlight the importance of entrepreneurial skills development among students and to provide access to career development opportunities from the early stages of their studies through various platforms such as MyNext Talentcorp, Myfuturejobs.com by Perkeso, and LinkedIn.
