
BINTULU, 7 September 2024 – The SISWAPRENEUR STARTUPBIZ@CEM program, organized by the Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Graduate Employability (CEM) in collaboration with the Student Affairs Office of UPMKB and the UPMKB Student Representative Council (MPP), took place on 7th and 8th September. The program was attended by 46 participants, including 33 UPMKB students and 13 students from Bintulu Vocational College.
Seven invited speakers shared various entrepreneurial topics such as marketing techniques, business model preparation (Business Model Canvas), business planning, and financial statements.
Dr. Abdul Hadi Bin Samsi emphasized the importance of creating unique products and marketing strategies; Dr. Sharon Ong Yong Yee introduced the Business Model Canvas; Dr. Aryaty Binti Alwie shared the latest marketing techniques; Dr. Shairil Izwan Taasim explained financial statements; Encik Ludinata Misnun discussed the characteristics of an entrepreneur; Encik Khairul Asyraf Yusof provided guidelines for business planning, and Puan Herisa Philip Lugo explained the business license registration procedures.
The program successfully exposed participants to and enhanced their interest in the field of entrepreneurship.
