Serdang, November 18, 2024 – The Get Hired Today Carnival, held on November 16 and 17, 2024, at the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Academic Complex Grounds (DKAP), recorded an impressive turnout of 2,143 visitors.

This event, organized in conjunction with UPM's Convocation Robe Collection Week, aimed to assist recent and soon-to-be graduates in enhancing their employment prospects.

The two-day carnival featured a variety of engaging activities, including open interview sessions with over 20 leading companies from various industries, interactive sessions with industry representatives, and career exhibitions providing the latest information on job opportunities, internships, and advanced study programs.

According to CEM Deputy Director En. Ludinata Misnun, the Get Hired Today Carnival was designed not only to connect graduates with employers but also to provide insights into the current job market's needs and demands.

“The enthusiastic response reflects the high level of interest among graduates and students in seeking career guidance and opportunities. It also demonstrates the necessity of platforms like this to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers,” he stated.

Visitors also expressed their excitement about the initiative. Nur Aisyah Mohd, a graduate from the Faculty of Agriculture, shared, “This carnival has been incredibly helpful in preparing me to enter the workforce while providing opportunities to interact directly with employers.”

The program received full support from the university and the industrial community, with hopes of making it an annual event to benefit more graduates in the future.

With such positive feedback, the Get Hired Today Carnival has proven its effectiveness in helping UPM graduates confidently and adequately prepare for their career journeys.

This inaugural carnival was organized by UPM’s Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Graduate Employability (CEM) in collaboration with Jobstore.com.
