ROBERT KIYOSAKI LAUNCHES ASEAN UNIVERSITY CASHFLOW CHALLENGE 2026 AT UPM

SERDANG, 26 February 2026 – Internationally renowned financial author Robert Kiyosaki today officiated the launch of the ASEAN University Cashflow Challenge (AUCC) 2026 at the Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

Kiyosaki, best known for his global bestselling book Rich Dad Poor Dad, also introduced his financial education board game, CASHFLOW 101, to university students from across the ASEAN region.

The prestigious programme is jointly organised by the Centre of Entrepreneurial Development and Graduate Marketability (CEM), Perpustakaan Sultan Abdul Samad (PSAS), and the Majlis Keusahawanan Universiti-universiti Malaysia, with strategic support from Now Asia.

AUCC 2026 brought together 200 students from various universities across the ASEAN region, further strengthening UPM’s position as a regional hub for financial literacy and student entrepreneurship discourse. Throughout the programme, participants engaged in interactive CASHFLOW 101 sessions led by Dr. Abuayubul Ansari Ibramsha of Now Asia, widely known as Abang Abu Mekanik Wang.

According to him, CASHFLOW 101 plays a vital role in strengthening financial literacy education among university students through a practical and high-impact simulation approach. Through Now Asia’s strategic international network, Robert Kiyosaki was successfully brought to Malaysia to officiate the launch of this prestigious programme.

A Financial Education Platform for the Younger Generation

Director of CEM UPM, Associate Professor Dr. Hizmawati Madzin, said the organisation of the challenge aligns with the university’s aspiration to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also financially literate and globally competitive.

“The ASEAN University Cashflow Challenge 2026 serves as a strategic platform to cultivate financial literacy among undergraduates.

“Through interactive simulation approaches such as CASHFLOW 101, students gain practical understanding of cash flow management, risk assessment, and asset building, beyond classroom theory,” she said.

She added that cross-institutional collaboration also opens opportunities for international networking among ASEAN university students, further strengthening the regional entrepreneurship ecosystem.

“Make Assets Work for You”

Meanwhile, Robert Kiyosaki expressed his excitement in witnessing the active participation of ASEAN students in a game designed to develop the mindset of investors and entrepreneurs.

“I am truly excited to see ASEAN students participating in CASHFLOW 101.

This game teaches the difference between assets and liabilities, and how to make money work for you — instead of working for money for the rest of your life,” he said.

He added that financial education should begin at the university level so that young generations are not solely dependent on salaried income but are capable of building passive income streams and achieving financial freedom.
