Bukit Bintang, 25 April 2022 – A total of 25 UPM students participated in the Basic Social Entrepreneurship Course of the Institute of Higher Education (KAK SE-IPT) organized by the National Institute of Entrepreneurship (INSKEN) in collaboration with the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives. This course was held in conjunction with the SE For You Programme (SE4U) as a new national direction to empower the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Malaysia.

In this programme, participants were given entrepreneurial advisory services from ministries and government agencies. In addition, there are also exhibitions and impact sales from various social enterprises. The participants also attended the 'pocket talk' of social entrepreneurship and received information on the provision of incentives and other programmes related to social entrepreneurship. The programme, which was held at the WOW Plaza Lobby, LaLaport Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur, received encouraging response from various communities.

One of the UPM participants, Aina Amirah said "the programme is very beneficial to students who are still in the business world". Aina hopes that the organizers will invite UPM students who are unable to participate in the program this time.

The programme was officiated by Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Prime Minister of Malaysia. Also present at the opening ceremony were minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Tan Sri Noh Omar and Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Graduate Employability, UPM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mass Hareeza Ali.
