
KUALA TERENGGANU, 18 May 2025 – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) participated in the National Student Cooperative Business Empowerment Workshop 2025 held from 17 to 18 May 2025 at The Grand Puteri Hotel, Kuala Terengganu.
The workshop, organized by ANGKASA (National Cooperative Movement of Malaysia), gathered representatives from student cooperatives across the country with the aim of enhancing entrepreneurial knowledge, governance, and collaboration within the student cooperative ecosystem.
UPM was represented by three staff members from the KOSISWA UPM Board (ALK) along with one student, reflecting the university’s continuous commitment to support student cooperatives as a real-world entrepreneurial platform for youth.
The workshop was officially launched by Dato’ Hj. Kamarudin Ismail, Member of ANGKASA Board and Chairman of the Cooperative Development Cluster, who delivered a keynote on the direction and transformation of student cooperatives in today’s economy.

Field visit to the Student Cooperative of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu Berhad
The event also served as a strategic networking platform for IPT cooperatives to share best practices, strengthen leadership, and enhance graduate employability through cooperative-based business ventures.
