UPM RECEIVES RECOGNITION FROM PUNB

Kuala Lumpur, December 18, 2024 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), through its Centre for Entrepreneurial Development and Graduate Marketability (CEM), has received recognition from Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) during a ceremony celebrating the 15th anniversary of the JumPER Program, following UPM's participation in the Uni-Challenge 2024 recently.

This competition, which focuses on Social Entrepreneurship, is specifically designed to uncover entrepreneurial talents among students and is held at five selected higher education institutions across the country: Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

According to Ludinata Misnun, Deputy Director of CEM, who represented the Director of CEM, the program has provided a platform for students to create change in the community through fresh ideas and business innovations.

"We hope that the strong collaboration between PUNB and UPM can continue next year with even more participants," he stated after being interviewed at the recognition ceremony.

PUNB was established to enhance the participation and involvement of Bumiputera in the field of entrepreneurship and to foster a dynamic, resilient, and progressive Bumiputera Trade and Industry Community (MPPB).

Founded on July 17, 1991, under the Companies Act 1965, PUNB is fully owned by the Bumiputra Investment Foundation (YPB). In 2010, it began operating as a fully Sharia-compliant company and is overseen by the Prime Minister's Department (JPM). - CEM
