Entrepreneurship Program 3: Social Entrepreneur@Urban Community (University to Community)

Social Entrepreneur@Urban Community (University to Community)

Social Enterprise@Universiti to Community (SE@UTC) is a program managed by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Graduate Employability Development (CEM), UPM. This program is a social entrepreneurship initiative aimed at helping increase income and the economic well-being of urban community households. Participants will engage in activities that involve entrepreneurial skills and knowledge to assist and add value to urban communities in generating income and establishing businesses that can be run from home.

This program involves five higher education institutions: Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), International Islamic University Malaysia (UIA), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), University of Malaya (UM), and Community Colleges. A total of 50 students from each IPTA will be involved in carrying out this project over the course of one semester. Through this program, participants will be exposed to entrepreneurial attributes. Students will also gain as much experience and knowledge in social entrepreneurship as possible and will then apply this knowledge to the community.
